Will the Heat be on tonight?

Which version of the Miami Heat will we get in Game 6 of the NBA Finals tonight? Will we see the version that cruised to victories in Games 2 and 4, or will we see the version that San Antonio burned in Games 1, 3 and 5?

If we go by what we've seen out of Miami during this postseason, then we should see the Heat at their most dominant tonight. They've responded to every loss with a win -- often, a resounding one (a 20.7-point average margin of victory).

But if history has taught us anything, it's that San Antonio delivers the goods when a championship is on the line. The Spurs are 4-0 when they can clinch the title, with two of those wins coming on the road (1999 against the New York Knicks, and 2007 against the Cleveland Cavaliers).

It was also not long ago that the Heat with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh had the opportunity to extend an NBA Finals series in a Game 6 at home, only to lose the game and the title (this should bring a smile to Dallas Mavericks fans' faces) ...

So can the Heat rise again like they've done throughout this postseason, or will history repeat itself and the Spurs hold the NBA championship trophy? I'll take San Antonio to win tonight, but Miami won't make it easy.
