And there will be a Game 7

History be damned! Miami rallied for a 103-100 overtime victory over San Antonio in Game 6 of the NBA Finals Tuesday. Ray Allen nailed a three-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation, and the Heat came up with several key defensive stops in overtime to pull out the win and force a Game 7.

It's the first time that San Antonio has failed to win when given the opportunity to finish off an opponent for the NBA title. The Spurs certainly looked like they were going to finish off Miami when they pulled ahead by double digits in the third quarter, but a monster fourth quarter and overtime by LeBron James (8-for-14 from the field) and two big-time blocks by Chris Bosh in the extra period propelled the Heat into one more game.

James finished the night with 32 points (including the go-ahead basket late in overtime), 10 rebounds, 11 assists and three steals. Maybe that will dispel the myth that King James can't come through in big games, even though I thought the myth was debunked last year with that 45-point performance in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals against Boston.

On the other side, Tim Duncan netted 30 points and added 17 rebounds for San Antonio. However, Danny Green was limited to three points in 41 minutes by a Miami defense determined not to let him have any open looks from beyond the three-point arc. Add in a poor shooting night by Tony Parker (6-for-23 from the field), and you have the makings of a Game 6 loss for the Spurs.

So now, it's on to Game 7 Thursday in Miami. But first, here are the highlights from an epic Game 6.
