Game 6 preview

The scene shifts to Boston tonight for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks.

The most intriguing storyline is whether we'll see Boston's Patrice Bergeron and/or Chicago's Jonathan Toews on the ice. Both suffered significant injuries in Saturday's Game 5, but in true playoff hockey fashion, not much information is being released about the extent of their injuries.

Of the two, I'd say losing Bergeron would be a bigger blow to Boston than if Toews can't go for Chicago tonight. Not only has Bergeron been a big contributor on offense for the Bruins (nine goals and six assists in the playoffs), but he's also been one of their best face-off men. Meanwhile Toews had been mostly a non-factor for Chicago until his breakout in Game 4, and the Blackhawks still found ways to win while he's been struggling.

With that said, I can't imagine this series ending tonight with Chicago carrying the Stanley Cup around the TD Garden. Boston has contained Chicago's offense for the most part, and I believe the Bruins will do it again and win by a goal to force Game 7 Wednesday in Chicago.
